Dumpling Headcanon

Headcanon refers to something that isn't canon, but you've come to believe it just as if it were anyway. Think of them as mere opinions; ideas; bite-sized fanfictions. Whatever they are, they're interesting and entertaining. This is a Tumblog dedicated to Sailor Moon headcanon.

Dumpling Headcanon runs largely on user submissions!

The planets Chuu and Mau are in the same solar system. (This makes sense to me since mice and cats are both small mammals typically kept as pets)The planets Mermaid and Coronis are also in the same system as each other, but not the same as Chuu and Mau are. (This makes sense to me because Aluminum Siren and Lead Crow had similar fuku designs)

All the villains that to us look as human as the rest of the characters in fact look a little bit uncanny valley to other people in-universe. Naturally this would be rude to bring up, of course, so it’s never said aloud, but most people just assume that they are either fully or partly non-Japanese.

I think Princess Serenity didn’t have a father, mainly because of the fact that the series is 85% girls.
There seemed to be no mention of a King in the series or many men on the Moon Kingdom.

If Ami was a real person, due to her extremely high IQ, she would most likely be a high-functioning autistic savant. Considering the fact she always had difficulties to socialize and to both express and understand feelings (at least in comparison to the other senshi, that is), there are chances (albeit small) it might be the case. It makes her previous loneliness all the sadder, but her reunion and friendship with the other senshi all the more heartwarming.

Crystal Tokyo and random loose ends
When the Inner Senshi used that crystal sword to focus their powers and wake up Usagi in the manga, the sword lay forgotten and frozen at Point D after Metallia was defeated.  (I don’t think you see it again, ever?)  At the end of the manga years later, after the world was healed by Usagi and they wanted to create Crystal Tokyo, the sword was recovered and ‘planted’, stuck in the ground at the center of the (current? ruined?) Tokyo and used as a seed around which the Palace grew.  It remains as an equivalent to that pillar thing in the remains of the Moon Palace and is a really useful power focus.

Zoicite actually has a massive inferiority complex. That’s why he’s so flamboyant - He feels that if he does that, he’ll somehow be able to compare to everyone else.

Stars like the Sun don’t have Star Seeds; only the celestial objects that orbit them do. That is why they are called “star seeds”.
It is too much for one senshi to have the fate of her entire solar system in her own hands, even if she had aid. Perhaps long ago this was the case, and this is why senshi who bear names of the star do so — even though their star seed belongs to their planet, they honor their predecessors by carrying their title.

 Guardian Sun
The Sun and other stars don’t have Sailor Guardians; Sailor Guardians are for celestial objects that support life, or at least have the potential to. Instead, each star has a being similar to Guardian Cosmos that holds its star seed and offers protection.

There is no Sailor Sun. That role is taken by Metaria.Either she was a Sailor Soldier with the Star Seed of the sun who got corrupted by Chaos to the point where she became an inhuman monster,or she was always a monster who managed to steal and either permanently tarnish or destroy the sun’s Star Seed. This is why Metaria is linked to the sun in both the anime and manga, and why its power wanes as Metaria’s grows.

I think Mamoru fainted when he got his ear pierced - and if that seems oddly specific, well, it’s because that’s what happened to me. Whoops.
